This course is designed for all employees and explains the basic concepts of “Lean” which has its origin in the Toyota Production System (TPS). Participants will learn the philosophies and methods of TPS and what TPS does for us. The course focuses on the philosophies that make up the “bedrock” of TPS, such as Customer First, Respect for Humanity, and Elimination of Waste, as well as fundamental concepts of TPS such as Standardization, Kaizen, Just-In-Time, and the components of each.
